Slowing Down and Resonant Absorption
Energy behavior
Energy behavior
Energy dependence of the neutron flux is the hardest part to apprehend in the entire neutron transport discipline. Most of the difficulties stem from the fact that the transport equation is not differential but integral in the energy independent variable.
There are actually three regimes of interest with specific behaviors: the slowing down, the resonant absorption, and the thermal region. Only the first two are present at this time.
